Unfounded no more: How sexual assault investigations have changed in Waterloo Region

Between 2010 and 2014 the unfounded rate in Waterloo Region sat at 27 per cent – eight per cent higher than the national average at the time. Since then, there’s been a substantial shift in the way Waterloo Regional Police Services handles sexual assault investigations. By 2019, the number had dropped to eight per cent.

CSI advocating for a more inclusive campus
