As 2012’s month of moustaches came to an end, mo sistas and mo bros across Canada helped raise over $24.5 million for prostate cancer and male mental health programs. Movember is a month to educate and raise awareness on men’s health risks across the globe.
To thank mo bros and sistas for their amazing moustache-growing or fundraising skills, they were invited to enjoy gala partés across Canada and strut their moustaches or Movember costumes in various competitions, which included Best Mo in Character, Miss Movember and Man of Movember 2012.
Conestoga Students Inc. also held fundraisers last month, but didn’t have the total raised as of press time.
