With not even two years under his belt, the local rapper is making noise across southern Ontario with songs such as Reminisce, Gaza and his latest, Buss Down.

In such a short time, Natra has accumulated hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube and collectively tallied close to a million streams between Spotify and Apple Music, all the while building a solid fan base across social media.

Last Saturday in Waterloo, Natra appeared in front of a sold-out crowd at Brixton Social nightclub, where he performed his hit singles to his fans’ delight.

His smash hit Gaza, featuring his running mate, Cassiusx, is a regularly circulated song in the region’s club scene and naturally sent the crowd into a frenzy when the rapper dropped the beat.

Tyson Bond, Natra’s manager, has been a vital part of the artist’s success and has even bigger plans for Natra in the months and years ahead.

“In the next six months, I think you’re going to see a lot of bookings for Natra — shows all over Ontario and, hopefully, other parts of Canada and even the States and Europe,” Bond said. “I see an increase in his streams, an increase in his YouTube views [and] an increase in his social media following.”

Natra, who is just 21 years old, feels there is a lot that sets him apart from other artists on the scene today and believes that, as far as he’s come over this last year, he still has so much more to achieve.

“I feel like I’m one of the only people with the flow that I have, talking about the things that I talk about,” Natra boasted. “It’s like I’m like a radio guy with a street flow. That’s one major thing about me that I think a lot of people don’t give me recognition for.”

Apart from his unique sound and approach to his music, Natra feels the role that he plays behind the scenes is just as integral as his stage presence. He’s proud of the fact he has a hands-on position in all aspects of his career.

“It’s deeper than music,” Natra claimed. “Literally, everything I do, it’s because I made it that way.”
