A great way that families get into the Halloween spirit every year is by heading to the small town of Elora, Ont., for their Monster Month celebrations.
Located 30-minutes from Waterloo, the town of Elora refers to the month of October as Monster Month. The downtown streets of Elora are decorated with lantern sculptures meant to look like monsters, all created by local artist Tim Muton.
There are many attractions that bring families to Elora. Not only does the town itself offer a lot of things to do and see, but there are also multiple events that take place throughout October alongside the Twilight Zoo. Trick or treating takes place at Elora Mills on the 31 and the pumpkin walk happens at the local museum on Nov. 1.
