Fleets of car buffs came out to show their support for KidsAbility on Sept. 22 at the third annual Bustard Charity Car Show in Waterloo. It was the third year for the fundraising display.
The event is centred around an impressive display of automobiles from around the region but didn’t fall short in other activities for the whole family.
Hundreds of people from across the Tri-Cities and neighbouring regions came by to take part in the great cause, either participating in the car show or simply taking in the sights and sounds of the event.

Car aficionados were wowed by the rows on rows of various different types of autos, while the kids in attendance were entertained by the music and fun activities like colouring stations, as well as top-class balloon animals and face painting.
A number of other local sponsors pitched in to make the day that much more special, including Allstate insurance and KW Cornhole, who hosted a fun bean-bag toss tournament. The show even had some celebrity appeal, as Murphy’s Law moonshine distillery brought in celebrity Grant Schwartz from the television show Vegas Rat Rods for a meet-and-greet.
The car show was in support of KidsAbility, a charitable organization that does amazing work in the community. KidsAbility, whose head office is located just minutes down the road from Bustard Chrysler, focuses on helping children with special needs, be those mental or physical.
“We are thrilled to be a recipient of the Bustard’s Charity Car Show,” said Lisa Talbot, executive director of The KidsAbility Foundation. “We rely on community support and are grateful for the many organizations, including Bustard, who give their time to make a difference for children and youth with special needs.”
