The 2020-2021 winter break may look a little different for post-secondary students this year as COVID-19 puts an end to Christmas partying and international travel.
Every year hundreds of students pack up their bags and vacation in tropical countries, some with family and others with friends. This year students are more likely to travel within Ontario, partially due to the quarantine period of two weeks upon arrival during international travel.
The COVID-19 Christmas break will cause disruptions to yearly family gatherings and traditions, some students explained.
Even though this winter break may be a little different than others it doesn’t mean you can’t have a good one. Hanging out with friends in small groups, snowboarding, and skiing, and reconnecting with family, are all different ways students look to spending their COVID Christmas break.
