K-W Oktoberfest parade is wunderbar

On Oct. 9 Spoke reporter Peter Swart attended the 2017 K-W Oktoberfest Thanksgiving Day Parade.

David Chilton, author of The Wealthy Barber and former investor on the TV show Dragons’ Den, and Greta Podleski, chef and co-author of a number of cookbooks, were the grand marshalls for the parade.

Thousands of people watched as  the parade wound along Weber Street, starting at Frederick Street in Kitchener and ending at Bridgeport Road in Waterloo.

Below are some of the parade highlights.

Drummers in the Burlington Teen Tour Band march in the parade. Thousands of people were in attendance and non-perishable food was collected along the route.
