Conestogas Students Inc. is now having pub days twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 12 to 3 p.m. Students can sit back and have a nice cold beverage, selecting from a drinks menu that includes a smooth light or dark Conestoga lager which cost $3.50 each or a tall boy for $5.

In addition to the extra pub day, CSI has added extra events such as a rock, paper, scissors contest and they also have a table full of Conestoga swag which include free bags, pens and promotional items for upcoming Conestoga events.

“There was a demand from students. They wanted an extra pub day and the board of directors decided to open it up on Tuesdays,” said Mike Boraski an accounting student and part-time worker at CSI.

“I think it’s going to make the school a lot more profit,” said Daniel Williams, a first-year general arts and science student.

“Students seem to enjoy it because maybe not everyone can drink on Thursdays due to classes interfering with them.” When asked if he would like the pub to be open all school days, Williams said, “No, I wouldn’t want the pub to be open everyday because it would hurt my wallet considerably.”

Mike Winch, who is also a first-year general arts and sciences student, is happy that Conestoga is serving beer on Tuesday.

“I think it’s pretty awesome because on Thursdays I wouldn’t have been able to do this all the time last  semester.”
