Waterloo Region marked the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination with a gathering at Kitchener Public Library.

The gathering featured a film produced by students of the Waterloo Region District School Board, followed by a discussion led by experts on the topic.

The day to eliminate racial discrimination has been marked every year since the early 1990s, with the aim of ending racism and intolerance and to recognize the inherent dignity and equality of all people.
