Election season has begun at Conestoga College, as students have officially put their names into the running to become members of Conestoga Students Inc.‘s new board of directors.
Voting begins at 8:30 a.m. Monday, April 1, and ends at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 5, at all campuses.
The board of directors elections are held every winter semester. Those interested in running are required to fill out a nomination package, get 10 signatures from peers, as well as have an average of at least 70 per cent.
Students may cast their votes in various ways: in person at the CSI office on campus, online through the link on this website or via student email, where a message has been sent with a link. Those who decide to vote in person must remember to bring their student cards. Students are only able to vote for one candidate for each position, for a total of seven votes.
The students running are Chloe Bui, Heather Firlotte, Mehar Hundal, Megha James, Ashish Nagra, Nikhil Nisangi, Brent Parke, Erin Reid and Harshpreet Singh.
