Talks for a universal transit pass at Conestoga College have started once again, almost a year after the provincial government cancelled funding for the student-approved program.

An Ontario Divisional Court ruled on Nov. 21 that government’s Student Choice Initiative, which banned the implementation of fees that would support student transit passes that were not active by Jan. 17, 2019, was unlawful. 

But as Patrick Spencer reports, that doesn’t mean the U-Pass is coming back for sure.
