72,000 riders daily affected by the strike
Major transportation disruptions are being felt across the region as 800 GRT workers continue their strike.
UNIFOR 4304 represents GRT staff and they have rejected an agreement with the region of Waterloo citing unsafe work conditions and other issues.
The union and the Region came to an agreement Thursday. That proposal needs to be ratified by regional council on Friday and bus service is expected to resume Saturday.
