Five years ago, Leah Denbok was outside of Kitchener City Hall, photographing and collecting the stories of people experiencing homelessness.

Now, the 19-year-old’s high-contrast portraits hang inside that same building.

Her exhibit — Nowhere to Call Home — was honoured in a gala on March 5. It will be displayed until the end of the month.

All proceeds from the sales of her prints and books at the event went to two local homeless shelters, One Roof Youth Services and YWCA KW.
