It is one thing to struggle with your identity but not having a support team can be the hardest part. The LGBT+ community is very inclusive, members say. While some people are happy being in such a loving bubble, others might be having a hard time being themselves.

The Kitchener-Waterloo area has a counselling service called “OK2BME” that assists people in the LGBTQ+ community and their families, who are struggling.

Scott Williams, communications & development coordinator of KW Counselling Services spoke about “OK2BME” and its purpose.

Nelson Sanchez Leemet, talked about his experience with coming out and some advice he would give someone who is struggling to come out themselves.
