While the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in the suspension of fall varsity sports and recreation activities at Conestoga College, many student-athletes are experiencing a deficiency of motivation with regards to the academic semester.

The Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) cancelled athletics in June to protect the health and well-being of students, coaches and staff.

This decision has impacted over 4,000 college students across the board as they progress through their semester without athletics.

With the absence of sport, student-athletes have been forced to adapt to an unusual semester.

On Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020, the OCAA officially announced the cancellation of varsity sports and recreation activities for the winter semester.
