“It’s just a bunch of hocus pocus!” If you haven’t seen this classic Halloween movie, then what are you waiting for?

Halloween has just ended and people are still in the spirit to watch some spooky movies with family and friends. Hocus Pocus is a 1993 film directed by Kenny Ortega.

After three witches known as the Sanderson sisters have been brought back to life after 300 years of being executed for doing dark witchcraft, it was time for them to get back their revenge and fight until Max (Omri Katz) who lit a cursed Candle of Black Flame with his friend Allison (Vinessa Shaw) and sister Dani (Thora Birch).

 Accidentally freeing the coven of evil witches (Sara Jessica Parker, Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy.) As there are many adventures throughout the movie it’s up to Max, Allison, Dani and a 300-year-old cat who has been cursed by the witches, to steal the witch’s book of spells as they only have until sunrise to make the Sanderson sisters immortal.

Being first aired in 1993, it is still to this day a popular hit, with Hocus Pocus always being streamed each year during the Fall season making it a perfect Halloween movie.

The acting in this film is fun to watch, with all the characters like the Sanderson sisters, they really had to act the part and have facial expressions and voices to do the part and the witches. It made the movie fun to watch and have a good laugh. It’s just a perfect movie for the Halloween season.

Disney plus has announced that they are hopeful that there will be a sequel for Hocus Pocus. With COVID-19 restrictions the predictions from when the film will come out around sometimes next year in 2021 right before Halloween. There’s not much information as of right for when the exact date will be realized or when the trailer will come out, but let’s hope there will be a sequel.
