A meta study has found that psychotherapy is highly effective for treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in adults with a history of multiple traumatic events. This can help clinical psychologists treat patients and debunk treatment-related misconceptions, medical professionals said.

The effectiveness of psychotherapy for treating PTSD in people who have experienced several traumatic incidents as opposed to only one was not examined in earlier research. It turns out that this finding can be helpful for both therapists and patients, according to the researcher and psychologist Dr. Thole Hoppen at the University of Munster.
