Coming into his first season coaching the Huron Heights senior basketball boys’ team, Austin Ernst-Finnie didn’t know what to expect. After his team season came to an end, he impressed with a 10-1 record with his team, the best record ever for a senior boys’ basketball team at Huron Heights. He also earned them a trip to the Waterloo County Secondary School Athletic Association (WCSSA) semi-finals. As, Anashe Mapuranga reports, Ernst-Finnie shares his biggest takeaways, lessons learned and what he’s looking for next season if he returns as head coach. .
