The annual College Fair will take place at Conestoga on Oct. 17, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and again on Oct. 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The fair did not occur last year due to the labour strike that occurred in the fall.
This year’s fair will be held at the student recreation centre on Conestoga’s Doon campus. No registration is required for either event.
During the evening event, there will be complimentary parking available in Lots 10-14 during fair times. During the day event, there will be limited parking on a first-come, first served basis at Lot 14, with additional parking if needed at a discount ($3.35).
“The benefit of the College Fair is having prospective students learn more information about courses and the colleges from everywhere all at one location,” said Nancy Hauck, a marketing staff person at Conestoga.
Faculty, students and service providers will be on hand to provide information and answer any questions that parents or interested students will have. The College Fair will also be a place to meet representatives from many other Ontario colleges, such as Fanshawe College, Niagara College, Mohawk College and Seneca.
During the evening event, there will also be express campus tours available from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and residence tours from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
