With exam season underway and students feeling stressed, Conestoga Students Inc. (CSI) and The Venue held a four-day-long event called “Exam Relief,” providing free food at 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The event was held at the Doon, Guelph, Cambridge, Waterloo and Brantford campuses.

Shlok Kadakia, a financial planning services student who took advantage of some of the free food, said that exam season was going fairly well for him but that he appreciated CSI’s gesture.

“It’s a really stressful time of the year for students. I think it is really generous of CSI and The Venue for giving out free food during this time. Students are stressed and it’s nice to see that they are trying to help,” Kadakia said.

Patel Keya, a general business student, also took part in the event.

“I got the food they were handing out today,” Keya said. “As for exams, everything is new and we are all sort of trying to adjust our time to be able to write our exams and study. The food was delicious and free, so of course my group of friends and I all liked it. It’s nice they are giving out free food so I get more time to study.”

“Exam season has been tough on everyone,” said Patel Riddhi, an IT business analysis student. “It’s been really nice to have free dinners while we have been stuck at the school studying all night. I don’t think I could thank them enough.”

Mac and cheese, Pita Pit Petitas, and BBQ were available for students at the Doon campus. CSI and The Venue also held a draw for a “de-stress” gift basket.
