Brampton residents have been waiting days for snow to be cleared from their residential streets after a massive snowstorm. Many complain their taxes are not being used to cover basic services provided in other Ontario cities.
“With groceries hitting $200 per week, and I’m only talking about the basics, surviving in a country like Canada only on 20 hours of work is something that everyone of us found difficult,” said Aman Singh, a student at Sheridan College.
“I don’t understand why people speak of cultural diversity and respecting every culture in Canada when they do not give an auspicious festival like Diwali the importance that it deserves,” said Ritika Singh, a student studying sociology at Sheridan College.
